Floatingworld: Design & art direction studio

Established in early 2009 by Alecia Lanzlinger, Beth-Emily Gregory and Tom Fitzgerald, Floatingworld (www.thefloatingworld.com.au) is an award-winning graphic design and art direction studio dedicated to the practice of ethical, exceptional and sustainable design.

With fifteen years’ experience spread across the disciplines of branding, print production, publication design, web design and art direction, Floatingworld brings great insight and creativity to any project they manage.

Wes Young: Media strategist

Wes is a third-generation Tasmanian journalist with extensive experience in all media discourses. He undertook a cadetship with the Examiner before moving to Hobart to commence a Bachelor of Laws through the University of Tasmania.

Wes has covered iconic events such as the Beaconsfield mine rescue for Crikey.com (winning Tasmanian Student Journalist of the Year and a Student Walkley Award). He has worked for Charles Wooley’s Across Australia program, and Hack, Triple J’s current affairs flagship. In addition, he has worked as a media advisor for the Tasmanian Greens.

Wes specialises in media strategy and management, research and public policy, with a particular emphasis on the marine industry, the built and natural environment, and their tourism potential.

Beth Gregory: Illustrator

Beth Gregory (www.beth-emily.com) is a qualified graphic designer/printmaker and noted freelance illustrator, with her illustration work appearing in online stores and magazines (such as Blanket Magazine; www.blanketmagazine.com), and is stocked in various boutiques, both within Australia and internationally. Beth’s highly sought-after work explores the human relationship with nature, fusing figurative illustration with abstract and tactile imagery.

Felix Stoffell: Illustrator, storyboard artist and photographer

Felix is a freelance illustrator, photographer and storyboard artist, with a particular talent for social and political commentary. His most recent work for MADE Tasmania is the successful and memorable ‘Winds of Change’ creative campaign for Greens Alderman Bill Harvey.

RGB Republic: Motion/web design and live action production studio

RGB Republic (www.rgbrepublic.com.au) is a collective of producers, directors, designers, programmers, writers and artists.
